Pet-Friendly Stays at DelSuites
For years, DelSuites has provided pet-friendly travel accommodations. Known for our top-notch service and five-star Tridel amenities, DelSuites are situated in some of the most desirable neighbourhoods across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
Whether you’re on vacation, planning your bleisure trip, or even undergoing home renovations, our suites, equipped with full kitchens, laundry facilities, and parking, offering the home away from home you need for you and your pets.
Our typical pet policy generally welcomes domestic dogs and cats, although some additional restrictions may apply. It’s important to research and ensure your pet’s needs are suitable for the specific building’s requirements before booking your stay.
Simply choose the building you would like to stay at and scroll down to see all additional requirements and restrictions.
Here are some general guidelines for our pet-friendly accommodations:
- Most of our accommodations accept pets, allowing one or two pets per suite, each weighing a maximum of 25 pounds.
- In certain locations, cats are permitted, while dogs are not allowed.
- Pets should be leashed at all times or carried in common areas.
- On cleaning days, we ask that if your pet is left alone in the unit, it be contained for the safety of both your pet and our housekeeping personnel.
- A $350 + tax non-refundable pet cleaning fee will be charged, but service or assistance animals can stay at no additional charge.
We also have special areas for pets. One of our standout accommodations, The Livmore, features an outdoor green space known as the “Bark Park,” where dogs can play. It’s home to a dog spa and an outdoor dog run with an astroturf, an obstacle course, fire hydrants, and benches. It’s the perfect place to relax with your pooch while enjoying views of the city.
Whichever location you choose, be sure to specify in your booking that you will be bringing your pet along. It will be our pleasure to welcome you to DelSuites.
Preparing for Your Stay
When preparing for your stay, make sure your pet also enjoys the trip. Start by making sure you have all the essentials packed for your pet. This includes their bedding, favorite toys, and enough food to last the duration of your stay.
Having familiar items around will help your pet feel more at ease in a new environment. Don’t forget to pack any necessary medications and grooming supplies they might need.
Preparing your pet for the move is just as crucial as packing. Gradually introduce them to their travel carrier or crate by letting them spend time in it before the move. This can help reduce anxiety on the day of travel. If your pet isn’t used to car rides or public transport, try taking them on shorter trips first to ease them in.
By being well-prepared, you can make the transition a breeze for both you and your furry companion.
Living in a New Apartment with Your Furry Friend
Living in a new apartment with your pet can be a blast if you’re prepared.
The first step to settling in is to make the space as comfortable as possible for your pet. Set up their bedding in a quiet, cozy corner where they can retreat and relax. Place food and water bowls nearby, and designate a specific area for their litter box or potty pads.
Living comfortably also means following house rules and etiquette. Always keep your pet leashed or carried when navigating through common areas of the building. This keeps your pet safe and doesn’t disturb the other residents. Avoid allowing your pet into recreation areas where it may not be permitted. Ask beforehand if you’re bringing your pet so you know what to expect.
Managing pet anxiety and behaviour in a new environment is a common challenge that you may have to face. Spend quality time with your pet and establish a routine for feeding, walking, and playtime to get them used to it. Gradually exposing your pet to unfamiliar sights, sounds, and smells can also help them adjust more easily.
